New LA studio and project for Square Enix
Secret IP in the offing
Square Enix are going West. That's the news in this evening from Gamasutra.com, who note a new job listing for the giant Japanese game publisher.
The firm are seeking a new programmer, who will work on a secret Xbox 360 title, a new IP, being created in Los Angeles.
"Applicant would be joining a small initial team to build a studio from the ground up and should feel comfortable taking on a wide range of tasks. The ideal candidate would be the go-to person for all 360 development issues," reads the job.
Square Enix have already announced plans to publish Chris Taylor's RTS sequel, Supreme Commander 2, and this move also signifies the firm's designs upon Western markets.
More on Square's initiatives soon.
